Lambergrass was formed in early 2006, originating from the idea of some friends in the Milano area, wich loved and attended Bluegrass jam sessions. They decided to try and form a bluegrass band.
The name comes from the name of a river, the Lambro (Lamber in local language), wich flows nearby Milan, and from the word Bluegrass.
The group is composed of 6 people, and two of them are very good singers. Lambergrass band is often joined by fiddle-extraordinaire Daniel Frey from Switzerland, that contribuites to the sound of the band with his traditional bluegrass style of fiddling.
The group's style it is inspired to the american traditional and folk music, with our arrangement.
After only two year from the foundation of the band, we have played in various events; in particular ours band has been invited in 2006 and 2007 to the Thun's Bluegrass Festival (Switzerland), where they have played important groups like the Bluegrass Stuff (I) and the Special Consensus (USA).
